This fascinating location was the northern terminus of the old Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway. The simulation provides a real operating challenge, involving many light engine movements to and from the shed and, of course, the authentic (and rather awkward) track layout. Block working applies on the single and double lines leaving the station.
This simulation recreates railway operation at Bath Green Park prior to its closure along with the rest of the Somerset & Dorset Joint line in 1966. The signalmen at Bath Station and at Bath Junction would have needed to work together closely.
To reflect this, the operator of this simulation is in charge of the operation of both boxes, together with a number of ground frames, as if they were one signalbox.
